The Role:
As a part-qualified ACA Audit Trainee, you'll work closely with partners, directors, and managers, delivering client-focused, commercially aware services with an emphasis on audit. You'll gain exposure to wider business advisory work while being integral to client service delivery.
 
Responsibilities and Expectations:

• Conducting audits for companies, solicitors, charities, and schools, with some on-site auditing at client offices.
• Demonstrating a clear understanding of audit testing and approach across various sectors.
• Preparing basic sets of accounts and corporation tax computations.
• Managing client expectations and deadlines effectively.
• Contributing to drafting recommendations following audit completion.
• Supporting and mentoring other trainees in their development.
• Attending client meetings and events alongside managers and partners.
• Engaging in internal networking to build relationships within the firm.
• Using innovative thinking to improve existing systems and processes.
• Assisting with administrative tasks to ensure smooth assignment operations.

 
Skills and Experience Required:

• AAT qualified or actively pursuing ACA qualification.
• Completion of at least all certificate level ACA papers (or AAT qualification).
• Experience leading audits within a top 50 firm.
• Exposure to audits with turnovers exceeding £20m in the past year.
• Technical proficiency, ideally with software such as Pro-audit, CCH Accounts Production, Xero, QuickBooks, Alphatax, and Office 365.
• Strong communication skills, adaptability, and a passion for self-development.
